If you have never used aloe vera for face or other areas of the body, please continue reading. My goal is to teach readers the importance of aloe vera and why they should use it over other treatment options.

Is Aloe Vera Good for your Skin?

Many reports of the medicinal practices used as far back as 6,000 years ago proclaim the benefits of aloe vera for the skin. Ancient Egyptians considered the plant to be sacred, and gave it as a burial gift for those that had passed. They, along with other cultures, would answer the question, is aloe vera good for your skin, with an outstanding YES!

Long before synthetic chemicals and treatments that promised to remove wrinkles, irritations, and other skin issues, the aloe plant was used. Many still consider it to be “THE” solution for most problems surrounding the skin. Some use aloe vera for face while others view it as a full body treatment for dry skin, rashes, or other minor irritations.

Aloe Vera Information

The aloe is a succulent plant that grows in the arid regions of the world. It has been used as a primary source of herbal medicine for centuries. Aloe vera information is in abundance, both online and in printed books, due to its popularity as a natural treatment for many ailments. There are success stories for aloe vera for face and other areas. In addition to helping with natural skin care, it has also been known to assist with conditions including constipation. Aloe Vera and Your Nutrition

This plant features a host of healthy vitamins and minerals needed by the body. These include vitamins A, B, C, and E. It is also loaded with antioxidants that help support a healthy immune system.

Some people drink aloe juice in order to help promote healthy nutrition. Diabetics and others watching their glucose levels have found that aloe can help reduce sugar. There have not been quite enough scientific studies done on aloe plant nutrition benefits, but from those that have personally used it for that reason, I would say it is helpful.

Along with aloe vera for face, the plant has also been used to help regulate the digestive tract. It has been especially helpful for those that frequently suffer from constipation. It can have a laxative effect, however, so be sure to use it only when you are at home or have access to a nearby restroom. Again, there isn’t a great deal of scientific evidence to confirm the effects of aloe vera nutrition on the body. It should be noted that many who have used aloe in their diet can attest to its powerfulness and benefits.

How to Use Aloe Vera for Face – Recipes for Optimal Skin Care

aloe vera recipeMany of those that understand the immense benefits of this plant may be wondering how to use aloe on face. If you want to a quick solution, I would recommend breaking open the leaf of an aloe vera plant. This gives you the most natural form of the gel, and you can apply it directly to your face. Rub it into your forehead, cheeks, and other areas of the face. Rinse with warm water after 10 minutes.

It is best to use aloe on face while in the shower, as it can then be rinsed away easily. If you want to use an aloe vera recipe that is effective in cleaning as well as moisturizing the face, try adding olive oil and rosewater to the gel. You need to have equal parts of each ingredient. The remainder of the aloe vera face recipe can be kept in the refrigerator until your next cleaning session.

If you want to use aloe vera on face as an exfoliant, there is a helpful recipe for that as well. This aloe vera recipe can be used once or twice each week to do a deep cleaning of your pores.

Aloe Vera Recipe for Exfoliating:

  • Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Mix the three ingredients together in a small bowl
  • Wet your face with warm water for best results
  • Gently rub the exfoliating recipe into the skin of your face
  • Rinse with warm water

Why Is Aloe Vera Gel So Beneficial for the Skin?

Aloe Vera gel for skin is located inside the leaves of the plant. It is a clear, jelly-like substance that can be applied directly from the leaf onto your skin. It is beneficial for your skin because it is thicker than water and can lock in moisture effectively. This is why aloe vera gel for skin can help repair areas of the body that have been damaged from the sun, wind, or other elements.

Aloe Vera Moisturizer – Restore a Healthy Look to your Face

Aloe vera moisturizers are extremely popular for those with dry skin. Because the natural substance can hold in moisture well, dry skin can sometimes be completely eliminated simply from applying aloe on face or other areas of the body.

If you would like to go the completely natural route, I suggest you purchase an aloe plant and extract its gel from the leaves. If you choose to purchase an over the counter aloe vera moisturizer for face, be sure that you get one made from all-natural ingredients. Synthetic chemicals sometimes added to these lotions can decrease the effectiveness of the aloe vera gel.

Aloe Vera for Face to Relieve Acne

Among all its other uses, aloe vera for acne is also becoming a popular natural method. Many people do not care for the expensive, hyped products on the market. In fact, I never recommended these to my patients either. You can get the exact benefits from those products by using more natural ingredients like aloe.

Applying aloe vera lotion to the face helps to reduce dryness and irritation, which can sometimes lead to breakouts. You can also apply aloe vera directly from the plant. Cleansing and exfoliating with the aloe recipes above is also beneficial to keeping your face free from blemishes.

Aloe vera has a number of safe, helpful components that has allowed it to become one of nature’s most effective home remedies for face masks recipes.
